Hypothetically, if someone managed to crossthread the 2 nuts for the 18mm bolts on the diff mount at the front of the vehicle, and couldn’t get the bolts back in, would it be ok to drive around temporarily until the right tools arrived to fix the issue?
Asking for a friend.

Have you considered faking your own death and moving to another state as a possible option?

You won’t have the problem with the cross threaded bolts anymore.

Do you own a welder? (JK, don't do that) Remember, mounting bolts have a 3 ugga dugga torque spec, not 5.

Retap the holes , and see if they will hold the torque. Look up the torque spec on a chart that you can google and use a torque wrench, If the threads are so bad that they cannot be just touched up you will have to install a heli-coil .

That's the plan, hopefully tapping works. I don't think I pushed things too far, so I don't think it's too bad. (Famous last words)

Seems a lot harder than faking one’s death.

😉
