I’ve had all 3 OEM options - I think even with the rock rails and especially the full length steps, they look a lot better if you install the trail armor rocker panels which black out the whole pinch weld area and are just a really nice factory finish look. The hoop steps actually hide the pinch weld better than both the other options (they sit slightly closer inward vs rock rails) so I don’t think you’d need to worry about the pinch weld. I looked at bolt on options for rock rails but wasn’t happy with any of the available options and how quickly they can be removed… figured about as fast to just swap rock rails/steps if I really wanted to.

Here is a reminder to remove your running boards before going wheeling. My more door wheel base on a feature pushed my running boards up into my door frames. I was really lucky it didn’t smush my doors too.

Take ten mins to take running boards off before wheeling.

Sorry, had to go through the damage with the steps. I appreciate you posting it because it reminds me to remove mine before going off road. Just added the proper size socket to the tool kit to make the job easier. Good luck with the repair.

Did a search but not finding what I want. 2024 Badlands with Sasquatch package. Came with the rock rail and we need running boards unfortunately. Will the rock rail work with the factory boards or does it have to come off? Will we need the pinchweld covers also with the boards? Thanks
I have a 2025 4dr OBX Sasquatch and the factory running boards actually hide the pinch welds. I would like to think all the Broncos, depending on how many doors, have factory mounting holes punched in the same place. From what I’ve seen so far possibly you could get a set of OBX running boards and switch them back out when rails are needed or Raptor running boards and remove them from the rock rails which they are bolted to. But, I’m not a Raptor expert.
Then there are plenty of aftermarket options to bolt to the rock rails.
