Anyone else find themselves looking at all these pics people are posting from builds on interactive garage and being torn on building their ride with a new Bronco look which still has old school vibe (black painted top) vs one that has more of the true retro look (white top, fender flares, rims, grill, etc). Originally was dead set on silver, gray or maybe AB with black trim but absolutely loving the pics of the blues and reds with white trims too. Obviously no right answer but just wondering if anyone else was this torn.

Not torn at all. Retro all the way. Love the classic look. Who wants to drive a Bronco that looks like a Jeep?

Going 2 tone; Carbonized Gray with black top, bumpers, etc. I want to get a cool graphics kit to put on it, for a little more retro style. (This pic is cactus gray with the molded in gray top, but I love that stripe. I'm pretty set on getting it if I can.)

I'm more than happy with letting the new Bronco be its own thing. I do like some of the retro styled stripes tho.

Alright, so, my experience with this "retro icon coming back from hiatus" is my 2010 Camaro SS and that community. There were a whole lot of people slapping 1st Gen badges on them. The 5th Gen came back with its own "Camaro" and "SS" font. Mixing the old and new fonts on the same car clashed horribly in my opinion. Plenty more yet overly played up the styling cues that called back to the 60's culminating to a point where there were entire front clips that looked like a cartoonish '69 SS/RS. I'm sure the Mustang and Mopar crowds went thru the same thing.

The new Bronco has its own font as well. I like it, a lot. I'll be leaving that alone. I get why some are calling out for the white tops, flares and grilles. Ultimately, it's not my money and peeps are free to do whatever makes them happy. I just know that I'll be emphasizing any retro elements very sparingly.
