Dealership finally gave me "part" of the info I requested.

I asked how many allocations they are getting this year and where am I at on their list of orders.

The response I got today was
"As of right now, our allocation is about 20 for the rest of the 2022 Model Year. " And then asked that I call him tomorrow to see about changes that can get my order picked up sooner.

This same dealer early in the ordering process told me they have 1 of the highest allocations in our area. Now some how they only get 20 for the rest of the year? Makes zero sense to me...

I thought dealerships get monthly or quarterly allocations?
They are the largest commercial dealership in our area (Portland OR). I have no clue how that relates to allocations but something is just not adding up.

I'm not sure if they are saying this so I change options or if he just has no clue on their allocations or they really only have 20 left for 2022. Sounds like a small dealership would get more than 20...

Any info anyone can share about the allocation process (monthly? Quarterly?) And allocations based on size of dealership would be helpful!

What annoys me most was in November I specifically asked if I should work to move my order based on allocation concerns. That's when he said they get the highest number around...

Order and reserved 06/2021
Wasn't expecting it until mid to late 2022. When I ordered they had a list of 120 or so orders ahead or me.

There are many, many threads here at B6G that laugh and scoff at "My dealer said" comments . . . not sure you can trust everything they say. I agree that what you are reporting doesn't quite add up. They should be getting a higher allocation in 2022 than in 2021 because Ford has been ramping up production and constraints have been getting better (or at least they WILL be). This means that your dealer probably would have had LESS allocation in 2021 . . . and if there were 120 reservations in front of you, it would suggest that you might need to wait a few more years at the allocation rate they indicated. Seems unlikely.

Ford did have a communication recently about the full model year allocation for each individual dealer, but it was an estimated amount so nobody knows exactly what we'll get until our wholesale is completed each month. Another big part of it is the Bronco name match that Ford introduced, dealers that don't sell the vehicle to the original name on the order can have allocation taken away down the road unless they can show proof that the customer denied delivery on the unit. I believe this is based on a 3 month rolling average that started on December sales so it will take a bit more time, but hopefully these dealers trying to take advantage of the current market and selling reserved vehciles as stock units end up losing allocation and won't be able to place any orders.

This is just an average and an estimate: 3000 US dealers + 441 Canada dealers. 13,000 per month x 12 month =156,000 in 2022. 156,000/3441= about 45 per year. Depends on the size of the area. Big city dealers will get hundreds of Broncos small town dealers will be lucky to get 20.

I think you answered you own question there. When you asked if you should move, they may have told you whatever it took to keep you there. It is possible they found out that transfers aren't happening and you are locked in, so gave you the truth as it currently stands. Or could be both pieces of info are wrong because 'my dealer said'. Something to ponder; How would they know all the other dealers (and their own) allocations to make the claim back in November that they had the most? That is before any dealer knew how many they were getting at all? They couldn't.
