NEED HELP! Car seemingly dead after installing upfitter switches

Hey folks, in a bit of a pickle here...
I went ahead and received all the correct components to install OEM upfitter switches.
Today, I set aside a couple hours and followed these steps - https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...tches-install-video.54057/page-3#post-1605404

Everything went smooth... took a hour and half or so and everything went great.
Well, until I went to plug the battery back in... basically the car is not responding at all with the new fuse box. I get random parts of the car powering up like the tiny lock/unlock button on passenger side... the main screen is very dimly lit up but nothing is loading... no lights in the trunk, nothing. Car is not responding at all.

So I go ahead and change over to the OLD fuse box to see if the new fuse box is faulty... and nothing... this time not a single thing lit up at all.

The battery was unplugged the entire time so I'm not sure where it's going wrong. I didn't program anything during the install and one would think going back to the old fuse box would make it all work.

So now i'm wondering if somehow the battery died or the fuse box receiver is broken or something...

Any help would be appreciated folks!

Hook up a voltmeter to check battery. Ensure battery is making a secure connection. Follow your wiring. I hope you have a voltmeter if your doing this type of work yourself

Hook up a voltmeter to check battery. Ensure battery is making a secure connection. Follow your wiring. I hope you have a voltmeter if your doing this type of work yourself
i'm an idiot and dont have a voltmeter in hand but friend is bringing one over now.

just to rule out several thing - the overhead console and wiring harness is unlikely to cause a complete vehicle shut down, so i'm ruling that out and focusing on the fuse box and/or battery.

The old fuse box seems to respond even worse than the new one (new one at least lights up a tiny LED light and screen seems to dimly light up)... so I'm thinking it has something to do with the connection to battery and/or fuse box.

Checking with voltmeter first then will report back.

@RustysBronco to the rescue!

So battery and fuse box are fine. The culprit was the terminal connection below the fuse box wasn't firmly inserted enough.

For others that are venturing into this - pull the 3 terminal connectors up and screw them in individually into the bottom of fuse box before clicking the entire fuse box in.

Problem solved!

Hello! I was actualyl able to fix it with the help of RustysBronco.
I underestimated how much you really have to get the 3 terminals under the fusebox to connect into the fusebox above. But once it was bolted in properly, everything worked like a charm.

So I’m doing this on Saturday. This is my nightmare scenario. I see from the videos there are three white connector bays. I’m not sure what you mean by “pull up the connectors”. So is the idea to pull them up and screw down the bolts firstC then clip in the fuse box? I’ve heard there may be a “pop” first and then tighten down. I don’t want to over tighten and break it, but apparently we have to tighten quite a bit.

So is the idea to pull them up and screw down the bolts firstC then clip in the fuse box? I’ve heard there may be a “pop” first and then tighten down. Yeah so the three connectors can be tricky to make sure they’re fully connected. It may feel like they’re fully plugged in but you can’t really see. It’s tricky but you have to use your fingers to get under the connectors and pull them into the receiving end while you screw the bolts in.
