I've searched this but never seen a definitive answer. Can you in any way you store the Mid section of the roof in back. If you lay down the back seats and in worse case put the middle section in at a angle will it fit? Just wondering if when the day comes will I be able to lay down the back seat and put all 3 removable sections somehow into the back of my Bronco.

Thanks

I've taken the front panels off and could stuff them behind the seats and they fit good. You could put the other two in the back or probably all 4 if you wanted.

Other two? All four? I'm confused.

So there are 4 panels that come off. One for each of the 4 seats. All of those will be able to be put in the back cargo area. Or if you don't have people sitting in back you can probably put them all in the backseat. Hopefully that clears up any confusion.

Back seat roof is one unit not two like the front.

4DR hard top has 2 front panels, 1 over driver and 1 over passenger, 2nd panel over rear passengers and then the clamshell in the back.

Did you cut the portion in half over the rear occupants as my four door hard top only has three pieces one over the driver one over the front passenger and one longer piece over the rear seat occupants. Let me also further explain that these are the "removable" portions that can readily be removed for open air driving. The rear "clamshell" is bolted to the vehicle but it does come off. Although I wouldnt take it off and "store" it in the back of the vehicle while driving. So in total there are 4 pieces that come off, but those that are set to be removed easily and stored are the front three pieces. I havent had the chance to remove and store the top sections, but my plan is to find a way to store all three front pieces inside the vehicle.

Oh cool. I have only ever pulled off the front two panels. Thanks for clarifying.
This is what these communities are for.

Let's not forget that the OP's question still remains.

Back to my original question. Does anyone know if the mid-section of the roof can fit in the back of the Bronco? With seats folded and maybe on a slant?

There is a post from July of 21 about roof storage bags that has a message that states that the midsection fits in the bronco as long as you have a seat folded.

Yes, you can remove the two-sections for the front row & easily store in the back. Mine did not come with the storage bag, but I have some large beach towels that I wrap around them. As for removing & storage the large, one-piece section over the back seat: Yes you can fit that section in the Bronco. You will sacrifice one of the back seats as you put in from the back on an angle. You definitely want to wrap it up in a blanket or thick beach towel. I have done this several times. I then bought a skyrider top for my OBX, & my hard top panels stayed in my garage for about 6 months. The Skyrider set up by best top is a really great addition. Two latches & flip it back & both rows of seats are open air. I flip it back up when ever I park to keep inside shaded & protected from bird turds or unexpected rain (I might not bother to latch it depending on the stop). I put the hard top back on in November. Sky Rider stored pretty simply in my garage. Way easier than a soft top.
