JCR 2dr Short Rack - mounting issues

Anyone other than me get this rack for their 2dr? Having a hell of a time trying to mount this getting it to sit right and not look like it's gonna separate the top from the sides. I used to be a mechanic, so I know what I'm doing, but maybe I'm missing something. Reached out to JCR, but they wanted pics of the issue. I had already removed the rack and wasn't about to put it back on.

Following this one, I really want a 2D half rack and like @JcrOffroad design! I have their bully and winch plate, both great so far.

We can’t really help without pictures to see what’s going on. Send those to customer service when you have them and we’ll get your issues sorted out.

When installed mine, one side needed some coaxing to get the tab under the roof lip. Everything needed to be very loose to get the brackets to seat correctly

Hey Motoring. I installed it the way you did. This is what I ended up with on the passenger side. Is yours like this?

They sent me new mounting clamps. Looks like the rubber padding is thinner, which might help. Haven't had time to try them yet. It's been great riding weather and the Harley felt lonely.

Right now the rack is sitting in my garage. Never put it back on. Will attempt it after the summer when I need it for my surf rod racks.
