Interior lighting issue - trying to add additional dome light

I’m trying to wire in an additional dome light. I’m using a 12v rock light. If I tap yellow and green the light stays on. If I tap yellow and brown it blinks and is half dim. I’d like it to turn on and off with the factory dome light. Please help.
