I'm installing a second Ford OEM crossbar on my 4-door Heritage roof rack. Prety straightforward install instructions other than having to purchase a torque wrench that goes down to 6 lb-ft for the install of the four torx screws. Only other question is this: On the roof rack from the factory there are four screw hole plugs or covers that need to be removed toward the front of the roof rack. Once these are removed the four torx screws screw in to mount the cross bar. Has anyone removed these before and is there a special way to do it or tool that is needed? I was just going to use a plastic knife and pry them off but I wanted to avoid damaging the plugs or the holes. Thanks!
