Yes to bothMy WildTrak (built 11/24) updated on May 16th.
I'm assuming you have automatic updates turned on and the vehicle has a Wi-Fi connection when parked.
I've had my auto updates turned off for quite a while now. I've been attempting to turn it back on and the system says' "this will take a minute or so", and the arrow just keeps spinning... I have a WiFi connection and It still won't turn on. What am I doing wrong? It will send it eventually. OTA updates are rolled out, so you never know when you’ll get it.
It's not super responsive. Turn it on and leave it overnight and see what it says the next day.I've had my auto updates turned off for quite a while now. I’ve done that too. When I click on software updates the next morning, it’s still off. The same thing happens to me when I try to turn it on through my Ford pass app. It's not super responsive. Turn it on and leave it overnight and see what it says the next day.
We're spoiled by the speed and responsiveness of our home systems.

Probably going to need to bring it to your dealer so they can physically update the APIM.I’ve done that too. When I click on software updates the next morning, it’s still off. The same thing happens to me when I try to turn it on through my Ford pass app.
It’s a March 2024 build, 24 MY.Probably going to need to bring it to your dealer so they can physically update the APIM.
Depending on your MY, they may not have the software for this recall yet, but it will fix the issue with it not being able to turn the automatic updates on.
I just looked, the FDRS software for 26S09 is available for all model years now. So I would bring it to your dealership and have them perform the update manually. It’s a March 2024 build, 24 MY.
This is a known issue (known on the forums anyway) that started happening after a GWM update in 2025. To fix this, you need to disconnect the negative cable from the 12v battery for 20 minutes to de-energize the entire module network. Once you reconnect the battery and check for updates again, it will get past the spinning pinwheel. If an OTA is being sent from the mothership while this is happening, it will not go through.I've had my auto updates turned off for quite a while now.
