Great moments. We [my wife and I] are planning an entire Route 66 journey, from start to finish. On the beaten path and off.

Regarding "what the Bronco is made for"... imo, it's made for adventure, whatever that adventure be for you, may you always find the path and enjoy the journey! Bronco will get you there!
This is worth checking out when you get near Carthage Missouri. Great photo ops.

I stayed at the Boots Motel when I went on my Rt66 trip. Reminiscent of motels from back in the day.

Lots more info if you're interested.

Love the pics!

I enjoyed a lot of miles on Route 66 when my Bronco was brand new and had a blast!

My mom and grandpa are big fans of all things Route 66. He has done the full trip multiple times and my mom has done smaller day trips in Illinois where we are from, but not the full stint. Last year for Christmas, I got her a 66 sign and said I’d buy her a train ticket to Chicago so we can do the whole Illinois stretch together. I thought it would be more fun in the Bronco than my F150 I used to have.

Last week we made the trip from Chicago to the Chain of Rocks Bridge near St. Louis. Snapped some neat pictures of the Bronco at some roadside attractions. May not be exactly what a Bronco was made for, but it was a fun and memorable trip regardless!

I drove Route 66, Chicago to Santa Monica, in 1964. I also hitchhiked extensively through Calif., Nev., Ut., and Az. (Note older abbreviations.) In fact, I've hitchiked in 31 states, 5 provinces, hopped trains in two, and been arrested in three. Done lots of backroads, but my passion now is back-rocks.

I know this is pretty late but we also did a small Route 66 trip from Chicago to Springfield. Lots of cool sights and museums.
