Hello,

I just replaced the front grille with an IAG Para-Hex grille. Works great, but there's a gap on the drivers side:

Ford Bronco IAG Para-Hex Grille: Gap in Fitment? IMG_1169

When I push in on that grille corner I hear a scraping sounds as if the clip on the connection is problematic. Unlike the passenger side, which has a tiny gap and is seated solidly.

I took off and reinstalled the griile, still the same problem. I'm missing something obvious. I'm thinking that maybe that particular grille clip is bad or isn't necessary? Appreciate any suggestions. I'd like a few options before I attempt another reinstall.

Thank you!

We've noticed some variance from vehicle to vehicle and side to side even on the factory grilles. I have seen some I can barely get a credit through the gap and others I can get a whole finger in between. Ford actually put what I call "gap hiders" on some model grilles that are essentially just black plastic to make this less noticeable. I would recommend removing the grille and trimming a little bit of the plastic support tab back with a pair of side cutters. This should allow you to push the grille back in a bit further on that side.

So: I replaced the clip with a clip from the OEM grille. Worked great - no more gap (sorry, a tiny gap that matches the other side). And it's solid, no "give" when the grille is pushed.

It's a good unit.

I also installed this harness https://www.starkey-products.com/fo...ts-adapter-for-led-headlights-2021-2022-2023/ to tie the grille marker lights into the Bronco parking lights. Painful install (yet the video looks so easy). This has been a good project: learned lots about fuse taps, how low the fuse box lid is, wiring principles, the importance of stocking up on push pins, etc.

Next up: A-Pillar ditch lights tied into an upfitter switch.
