Well sir, since I'm a born and bred southern boy I think I can give you the hillbilly version.

Shit got real in 1918 wit that thar Spanish Flu. Ford couldn't sell a pig in a poke that year, so they lost a shit load of production. Now, we have summtin' called the COVID flu. It came from over thar in China, but they say we can't call it the China Flu 'cause we might just upset some little sissy person. It's casued Ford another shit load of trouble, and they couldn't sell ice to an Eskimo if their life depended on it. Sho' they a tryin' to get all their shit in one sock, but tain't working to gud for 'em rite now.
