Hiding profile information in sidebar?

This forum is going the way of many that are putting way too much junk in the sidebar. A single-sentence post takes up huge vertical screen real estate. With the new requirement to list a Bronco model that shoves the name of the model AND the icon, it's gotten even worse.

Can I customize what I see under a person's name/image? I don't need to see most of that info. Name, picture, post count, and location are plenty. A list of every car they've ever owned, the model and icon of their Bronco they're making a cute scrapbook about, and how many Meow Meow Beenz they've won just clutters up the place.
