Hi Everyone, have enjoyed perusing for a while and the great sense of community made we want to post!
Living in FL and have spent several years restoring a 1972 IH Scout II but it became apparent that it would not be the ideal adventure wagon (gallons per mile being one reason). The Bronco was as close as I could get to it however and it got me just as excited. Just sold the Scout to finance the Bronco but seeing how many people love their Broncos, I know it was the right decision.

Had a scout myself a very long time ago. Older than yours. The first SUV I'm told. I'm waiting for my Bronco too. Lots of good info here. Just one word of advice, don't spend too much time reading the many threads that have to do w/ ordering, wait times, added dealer markups, backdoor order tracker, folks angry about the wait, Ford's screwed up reservation and order process, etc, etc. You get the point. It's all too depressing. I've finally decided to wait for the call from the dealer that it's arrived, 4 months or 500 days. I'm patient now that I'm a geezer.

Sold the Scout II, ouch can't even bring myself to consider it.

The 6G Bronco is as close to a modern Scout as I can get. I'm looking forward to some of the modern amenities, but I'm keeping both my 72's.
