Oh yeah, I heard the horror stories of dealerships pulling the rug out when a customer’s bronco finally arrived by slapping a massive ADM on it.

When I went through the process with Currie, their sales rep had mentioned a few times that broncos that are factory ordered would not be subject to ADM. Before I went to the dealer, I confirmed at least twice that there would be no ADM, and that I would be paying MSRP when ordering through them.

The process for the most part went smooth, up until it didn’t. We went through the options, the sales guy went to grab some paperwork, then came back with some numbers - they had tried to sneak a $2k ADM in. I told them that wasn’t going to fly, and that I had confirmed more than once that ordering through them that I would be paying MSRP and no ADM, and considering that I had driven over an hour to select them to place my order through, I wasn’t going to be happy if they pulled this at the last minute. Thankfully, they did their thing, and took the ADM off. Got everything in writing, and signed off on the agreed price (MSRP). This was the key lesson I had learned from the previous horror stories I had heard, so I made sure everything was in writing before I signed off.

Now, the wait begins….

I wish I could find a somewhat local Ford dealer to order from. Just the fact that they tried to slip some ADM by you makes me not trust them. If only a dealer in the Chicago area had some integrity.

I had reached out to Fair Oaks Ford in Naperville, and asked them if they had any allocations for 2022 Bronco’s. I guess they weren‘t chomping at the bit, because they never replied despite me following up a couple of times. And when they did finally get around to getting back to me, I had just finished placing my order with Currie Ford.

To Currie’s credit, they took care of me, without incident. I was ready to walk without hesitation, had they not been able to resolve the issue.

But I digress - You could try Fair Oaks Ford in Naperville. When they did finally get back to me, they said they had allocations, and they said lead times for broncos ordered through them was about 8 weeks.

Checking the website for Fair Oaks and it appears Currie and Fair Oaks have some kind of connection. They have a bunch of the same Broncos listed.

No offense, just the fact they tried to pass $2K ADM on your order makes me not trust them. I get they folded immediately, I personally would have walked away and called them out on the dishonesty. I'm sure you will get yours before I get mine, I just don't want to play the games.

If you're ever in Logan Square I'll meet you out and buy you a beer to check it out!!

Yay more Chicagoland Broncos! I'm located around the Lakeview area with a white 2dr outer banks!

I've seen 2 other 2 doors, a handful of more doors and more sports than I can count thus far around town.

Totally possible I'm up that way all the time especially over near Broadway and Argyle (nom nom nom tasty tasty pho).

100% me if there were orange recovery boards strapped to the top. One of the other 2 doors is a white badlands that I've spotted a few times around the whicker park/West Town area. So I know for a fact that I don't have the only white 2 door in town.

Also when I spot your bronco it's totally gonna make my day.

Hey, hey, I just happened to discover your YouTube channel - one of your videos made it into my recommended feed since (surprise surprise) I've been pouring through scores of Bronco YouTube vids.

I don't blame you one bit. Hopefully for my experience, that is the only "major" bump on the road. I guess we will see!
