You don't need to air down to extreme pressures to benefit from BL. I have rolled many a bead from standard rims running 12-15psi.


With all that said. I would not use BLs for my DD rims. They make for a great second set for offroad use.

I run my truck on beadlocks on the street at 28psi. I don't daily the truck, so I don't mind the lower MPG when I do drive it. I believe the beadlock wheel manufacturers have to include the " don't go over 25psi" statement for liability purposes. They are designed to hold the bead at really low PSI. Over inflating them might cause issues. Beadlocks are not DOT approved anyway, but people do it all the time.

I'm new to this world but I'm from Colorado and have done several difficult trails around the state. I have deflated my stock Sasquach tires down to 12-15 PSI without any issues.
