Anyone have any experience trying to open the door with the window 'frozen' up with ice?

i know the window is supposed to come down a little real quick to clear the trim before opening, just wondering if winter time icing has caused anyone any issues?

There have been a few threads on the forum. My takeaways, if frozen with ice, were:

1. Pre-heat the car a little if can using remote start;
2. Use a credit card along the glass and bottom rubber seal on the door before you pull on the handle to open the door; and
3. Be gentle and open the door slowly watching to see if the window drops or if it's hanging up so that you don't flex it too much in the cold;

I'm sure others will have some other great suggestions.

I’m seeing this being a problem once I get my Bronco. I don’t have a garage for it and it’s 7 spd so no remote start. I see where some said using anti icing spray

The doors are designed to open even without the window coming down a bit (think about if your battery died).

I've had my windows iced up and they didn't move. Just use some common sense: Take your time, don't just jerk it open. Scrape what you can without damaging the seals. Warm it up if you can.

I haven't had this problem and we have had freezing rain and ice recently.
