First post,

After reading about all the issues with the front camera and aftermarket(and oem)bumpers/winches Ihad an idea for a front hitch to use for a winch when needed.

Does anyone with the means to accomplish this, know if it would be possible to relocate the lower acc sensor to the grill (seen some kits for this) and repurpose the opening in the bumper for a front receiver in its place?

Might give a flexible option for those willing to carry a hitch mount winch and use it front or back. Pic just for reference.

Well... just about anything is possible with a grinder, plasma cutter, and a welder. ;)

But if you are talking about a bolt on solution… I’m not aware of any. Probably only a matter of time before the aftermarket comes out with one.

Had a front hitch on my 93 Ranger but not for a winch. It was really nice for moving camper into tight places.

Definitely understand there are not any bolt on solutions.

I guess my question was really if anyone who had seen/worked in there for other custom solutions thought that:
1. There would be a good location to mount it without interfering with intercooler or whatever else is tucked in there.
2. it could be attached to the frame and be adequate for towing/winching.
2. There is enough space in the bumper opening to accommodate the receiver.

Appreciate the feedback so far. Some day I’ll actually have a bronco and can do some of these measurements myself or take it to a shop and ask!
