Hello Everyone!
Roddy here from NY. I had wanted a Bronco from the moment they announced it. Of course, it has been near impossible to get. At the time I was driving a Chevy Colorado Z21, which I enjoyed. I sold myself so much on the Bronco, that I eventually bought a 22' Jeep Wrangler Willy's (6SPD). Of course, I tried to sell myself. I enjoyed the Jeep! Got it nice and dirty a few times in search of trails and waterfalls. It did not take away the desire for the Bronco. So I kept my eye on dealer stock, yet, it needed to be perfect. I wanted a Green Outer Banks. I also wanted to a manual, but the Outer Banks and the manual are not a thing. The Outer Banks was for no other reason that I have fond memories of the area. I was in the Outer Banks every summer with my kids. At the time, I owned a Tacoma, and we took it on the beach with a grill and everything else needed for a day at the beach all the time. The Outerbank badge takes me back to that. I won't do anything more than getting it dirty and muddy as I look for trails to hike and get it sandy on the beach.
In December one of the dealers that was asking 5k over, calls me and says we have a Green Outer Banks. It was late December. I asked are you willing to negotiate, and they said YES. So I took the 90 minute drive on a whim. Paid 750 over, broke even on the Jeep (those things hold their value at the very least) and drove home that same day on the Bronco!
Other than a darn rattle in my passenger side chair, that only happens when the seat is empty. It has been perfect. A friend of mine has me nearly convinced to put on the extended. I drive a lot, so I may buy that insurance policy of 6/100.
Any way, Hello EVERYONE!
