We have had our Wildtrak for just over a year. Wife really wants a 2dr Heritage Limited in Yellowstone, but it wasn't making sense to take the loss on the Wildtrak at the time. Started a couple months ago and we were trying to decide what to do. Fast forward to last week when an idiot ran a red light and pontooned our son in the 2014 Fusion as he was making a left turn. Fusion took it like a champ in the right front wheel and A-pillar. Sucks that it only had 125k miles and was in mint condition and looks like it will be totaled. $9300 preliminary estimate on a car that high book is $6800. So now it looks like he will inherit my 23 Toyota Crown, I get the Wildtrak and we are shopping for the Yellowstone Heritage. At least I get a free downpayment from the lady's insurance company to add to what I was going to put down. I feel a little guilty though, as I was thinking maybe I should sell the Fusion before I have any issues and take what I can get for it. Thankfully we had a witness with a statement that the lady ran a red light and she admitted she was distracted by kids in the car and didn't know what color the light was. Pretty evident by photos and witness who was making a left turn on a green light right behind my son. Will update when/if we make the purchase.
