Wondering if someone can provide some advice. Recently experienced a few weird issues with my FOB and Bronco. Prior to the other day no issues but went into a store came out and fob would not respond to Bronco. No unlock, lock.... did not try panic. So thought weird dead battery? Used physical key opened up which immediately set off alarm. Fob would not work to stop it. hit START to turn on power and this stopped alarm but also fob magically started working.

Same night I hit lock button double tap to lock it up for the night. It beeps once then alarm starts sounding. Again FOB wont respond, unlock doors or stop alarm. Use physical key to open it hit start button to power it up and FOB unlocks and locks fine the moment i turned Bronco on.

So far FOB 2 days later FOB still unlocking and locking fine but it wont roll all the windows down anymore when holding unlock however its responding fine to all other commands.

Will check spare FOB this evening to see if its isolated to a single fob.

Did you try changing the battery in the FOB?

I have not yet but had planned to swap it out for good measure still besides those 2 moments where I repeatedly tried using it and it was unresponsive until i hit START at which point it then seems completely responsive. Each time i was standing next to the vehicle.

^this
also try resetting the fob by placing it in the "home" spot in the console.

I had a simalar issue a couple of times...however, it only happened in WalMart Market parking lots. I'm chalking it up to interference with one of their wireless security system or internal inventory system signals. Once I was clear of their lot, everything worked like normal...haven't had any issue with other stores.

Will do. For the Home spot. Is there anything in particular required beyond setting it in there, certain amount of time or key sequence required or vehicle running, on, off?

Pretty sure the process is simply put it down then start the vehicle (assuming the fob batteries are good that is). Someone can certainly correct me here if there's more to it.

Had the top open and the sun was raging the first time it happened. Debated if it's was solar flare activity that caused the issue?
