Hey y'all! I'm the happy owner of a blue 2dr Badlands (non-sas) and had a lot of fun with the great folks from Morrison's Outdoor Adventures in their Level 1 class. Afterwards we hit the trail at Spaas Creek, part of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway.
We (6 other vehicles of all sorts) met at Commonwealth 4x4 in the morning to learn and practice the skills we applied on the trail. I've got a decent motorsport skill set from racing cars and bikes, but I learned a lot more skills from everyone there; monentum through obstacles, line selection and understanding and properly interpreting weight shift and vehicle dynamics of traction and so on.
After going through the course several times, Mike Morrison discussed safety and procedures for our convoy to the trails. The trail was wet, rocky and had some fairly deep water but the Bronc handled it like a champ
To cut to the chase, my Bronco had me looking like an ace on the trail but it was not any huge skill set on my part I assure you.
A severe thunderstorm was rolling in so we ended the ride after Spaas Creek but I'm looking forward to my next adventure!
