The dealership I chose in my hometown converted my reservation to an order without talking to me despite an email I sent 3 weeks ago stating I was not ready to order. I’m waiting for that high end top option I selected. They also changed my build negatively when they submitted. I’ve been bugging Ford for help, nothing back yet for a week and a half. Has anyone had this happen? Was it resolved? It’s not in production yet… Auffenberg Ford South in Belleville IL says Ford did it. Ford says they don’t do that or change options. My wife is depressed and ready to say forget the Bronco even though she has wanted one since she was 16. Ford cannot tell me what the point of reservations were if the dealership can just take them. I’ve sat on hold with Ford for over 5 hours in a week. Why can’t they just stop the order?

Still no call back from Ford. I have spent 7 hours on hold total and no one has any answers. Keep being told a supervisor will call me. It's been a month.

we did they denied doing it. Said Ford did it. Then said they could cancel it; I could buy it as it’s coming; or they’ll sell it. I walked out and called Ford. Supposed to hear from a supervisor at Ford. I’ve been told that weekly from my Ford calls. So far nothing …

Do you have a VIN?
If not, you have 3 paths forward

Option 1 - tell your dealer to order99 it. That basically puts your order on hold

Option 2 if for some reason you cant 99 it - change your order to how you want it. You still can change your order even after it's been submitted.

Option 3 - take the Bronco when it delivers and buy the high end mod top later

I hate to say it, because I know people who work in service for Auffenberg, but the sales side are complete douche nozzles.
I bailed on them way back in February when I went to place my initial order.
They wanted a non-refundable deposit. Ok, no big deal as I was surely purchasing a Bronco. So, I asked them to come to a price we could agree upon prior to placing a deposit which I couldn't get back.
Now, mind you, pricing had been established for quite some time at that point, but they went off on some BS rambling nonsense that they did not know what pricing would be and that they couldn't give me a price... any price. The MSRP on my build and price page was a fictitious number meant to get traffic into the showroom.
So... I just walked out mid sentence, drove home and switched dealers.
Since then, I have learned they are charging $10k over sticker and surprising some buyers which were gullible enough to place the deposit without an agreement as to pricing. They are banking on that tactic so they will have sellable units outside of the reservation/order stream. Likely the fate of yours, sorry to say.
Some poor schmuck will buy it, but I will never give that auto group a dime.

North in ofallon tried pulling the same shit. Blaming it on Ford. They had me 99 for six months before I realized it. The only way I could get things done was in person and calling them out for lying about it being on Ford’s end after I had just got off the phone with customer service. They were reluctant to want to sign for MSRP telling me “those out there go for 10k over sticker.” They had just received “four, FOUR, canceled orders”. I told the sales manager “Those may go for 10k over but the one I ordered and we agreed upon will be at sticker.” Then I told him I was here one day when someone came in to pick up his $350 check that you were paying him for his order because he wanted to cancel it. I told him mine was an agreed price that the salesman who quit/fired told me I didn’t need a signed document. I now have three signed DORAs or WBDO sheets from each time I changed my order and I have checked several times with customer service that they didn’t go back in and 99 my order again. If you can’t get anywhere with them in person here is the owner’s email. Not sure if he cares or will reply since he has to know what both his dealerships are trying to pull but it’s worth a shot.

Good Luck!

My Bronco is being built and shipped to the Belleville location, I'm going to be PISSED if they try this with me as I signed 2 separate orders when I changed my Bronco build. They have been very good with me so far, so I'll just give them the benefit of the doubt until they pull some BS with me.
