So I’m a 7/20/20 reservation holder. I was pushed to a 2022 model year and received my shipment email. The entire time my sales rep assured me MSRP is protected. I just looked up my vehicle on the dealers website and it’s listed 10k above original MSRP. It shows “pending sold,” and I know I have Fords price protection. I was just wondering if anyone has seen this happen, and what they have experienced. Has anyone seen their car listed?

UPDATE:

I went yesterday to start the paperwork process and value my trade. As I turned into the dealership, a new shipment of Broncos rolled up, and I identified mine immediately!
My dealership kept their word as far as MSRP. They said that for those who decide not taking their order, they will be increasing the price. So thank you for those of you who helped me out! I am now a very happy bronco owner!

Have you actually talked to your dealer yet? Are they charging you that same ADM?

It might just be there to generate interest if you were to back out or fail to secure financing.

I have heard of this happening all the time, but still selling for the reservation holders at MSRP. By listing it on the website over MSRP the dealership can gauge the market and sell those abandoned vehicles for a maximal price. Talk to your dealer. Your price is most likely secure.

Been a few tales of this happening while in transit. I'd touch base with your dealer, but seems a common practice to post it on the website to help drive traffic/interest.

get off the forum and go talk to your dealership. Lots of negativity here.

BTW ... most dealerships have an automated system that runs ads on incoming vehicles and your Bronco is an example.

My dealer did that and I still got mine at the agreed upon below invoice price. Ford automatically populates incoming inventory to most of their websites. Mine put the additional cost so they wouldn't keep getting phone calls from people looking to buy them.

That makes a lot of sense. I tried reaching my sales rep and he’s not in until Monday. I just happened to notice it and wanted to see if this is normal so I’m not freaking out until Monday. Thanks!

Thank you! I have never purchased a new car like this before so I appreciate your response. It’s my first “fun” purchase.

Assured you of MSRP? In writing, correct?

Great chance that you are fine. If you aren’t and you find out on Monday that they are screwing with you… report back here.

B6G has no supply chain issues on pitchforks and torches and we can effectively communicate with the dealership and their customers.

Ford should adopt our processes and best practices!

I understand Kelly. Had I not known how some dealers were advertising incoming Bronco's I would have went nuts myself. Good luck, and congratualtions on your new Bronco.
