Could be an answer to ugly crash bars?

Was at the dealer for a scheduled maintenance and noticed these on a 2023 Ranger on show room floor.

Seems to be the same crash bars as our Broncos but this one had a plastic cover over it that was attached by two plastic retainers.

Are the 2023 Broncos being released with this same cover?

My Dec built ‘23 did not have the plastic piece and looks identical to prior years’ crash bars.
