I've long wanted to drive to top of Bristol head near Creede, Colorado.
I have found UTV videos but nothing about 4x4 such as Bronco.
Is the road suitable in width for a Bronco?

Here I thought this was a thread about a very fun cross-country trip.

OP, good luck. I'm going to google that now.

It is very doable in a Bronco. I have been up there several times in my buddies FJ Cruiser. Most of the road is well maintained gravel with a few overgrown and bumpy spots. The last mile or so you will be picking your way through large rocks for about a half mile, after that it clears up again. Not rock crawling think suit case and smaller sized rocks. The pictures are from my last trip up there in 2020 but I don't have any of the road. Very windy at the top but fun to look around for a while.

Be sure to check out the wheeler geologic area and do the bachelor loop while you there. The drive out to Wheeler is about 28 miles each way with about 16 or that being rough rocky road typical of CO. I would plan on a day for this so you can look around.

And finish up at Tommyknockers, because you worked hard. I have been going to Creede when I can since the late nineties as my buddies family has a cabin up there, it is great town.

Thank you very much for this information.
I worked 2 summers at the Freemon's ranch, perhaps you know of this store and burger joint?
I looked up at Bristol Head everyday and dreamed about being on top. Creede is much changed since I was there, indeed the entire valley is a different place.
Again, thank you for the trip report.

Have been to Freemon's for burgers many times. My buddies cabin is in Eagles Nest so you can look up and see Bristol from there as well.
