Hi,
I have the opportunity to buy BD Steelie take offs for $1,000 tires have 0 miles. I really wanted the wheels only but seller won't split it up. I've read mixed reviews on the grabbers. I'm in the northeast, pavement driving 90% of the time and on the beach a few times. Curious how people are liking them as a daily driver. Seeing alot of comments that they catch alot of rocks, wondering if thats as big an issue on pavement
Hi Rad Ride. I also have a BD that came with the gen grabs and I love them, smooth and quite on the highway, even wearing, and i just put them to the test at the sup cel in colorado. They will catch some rocks while wheeling but not a problem on pavememt. They are a great tire. Run them and you wont be dissapointed.
Oh. I have 32000 miles on them and they look like I'll get 30 more.
Enjoy your Bronco!

$1000 seems pretty steep for the market around here for BD takeoffs.
Personally, I like the steelies but am not that impressed with the tires. I would just find a set of steelies for $100-150 and put tires of choice on them.

I had the General Grabbers on my Black Diamond for about 23K miles. On road and off. In rain and snow in New Hampshire. They ride fine. Yeah they’d pick up a few rocks from time to time but not really that bad. They wear fine too. I replaced them with KO2s because I put 285/75R17s on and the Grabbers don’t come in that size. I kept the tires for potential future use.
