The Baja Designs S1 hitch light kit is a powerful and versatile lighting solution for outdoor enthusiasts and off-road adventurers. This compact and rugged system features a high-performance S1 LED light, mounted in a durable bracket that easily attaches to any standard 2-inch hitch receiver.

If your vehicle has a 7-pin trailer plug connector, you have the option of using the S1 hitch light kit with the trailer adapter harness. This option allows for an easy plug and play installation. When the vehicle is put into reverse the S1 will automatically illuminate and provide an additional 2,320 lumens of smooth output.

Well the idea is it's plug and play and you don't have to wire it to anything. That's how we sell the kits. It plugs right into the trailer harness:

Otherwise you'd have to run a wire to your aux switch and that's not exactly the idea but you CAN do it. It would cost more money and require 2 different harnesses.
