Update on mine if anyone cares. LOL. I couldn't get them to let me go with an aftermarket bumper, so I am stuck there. But they are replacing the entire steering rack as they "heard a click" and also agreed to replace my icon tie rods and diode dynamics fog lights - I was worried I'd have to repurchase all that.

At least some good news, bummer on the bumper portion

I’d document the damage clearly and ask your adjuster if they’ll cover the upgrade cost difference, many will if you argue safety or availability.
