Went to get in my Bronco after work today and it turned on fine and was running for about 15 seconds before it turned off and showed me a message that says “auto start/stop malfunction. Manual Restart Required” I was able to turn it back on like normal and drove it home for 30 miles just fine. The battery voltage was 14.3 all the way back.
I’m not sure what happened there. The only thing I can think of is that when I went to turn on my Bronco, I opened the driver door then pushed the brake pedal with my hand and turned it on while I went to the trunk to drop off my work stuff (I know I’m weird like that. It’s all about efficiency) then when I went and sat down it suddenly shut down and displayed the message. First time happening so any feedback/advice is much appreciated.
