I attempted this today… i say attempted, because i never did get past the prep steps. Long story short, if you have any type of ceramic coating on your Bronco proceed with caution. Weathertech is saying the prep step after the alcohol wipes reacted with the ceramic and caused this purple opaque film.

They recommended cleaning with alcohol and washing to remove. Said it shouldn’t damage clear coat, but will need to be waxed.

So, I’m returning the hood protector. 🤷‍♂️

I am looking for all sugestions.
I have a 4 dr BD in Black. I am in the process of blacking it out totaly. I love it. That said you know what a problem black is. The other day I installed a bumper mounted light bar and saw 2 tiny grey rock chips on my otherwise perfect black hood. I am looking for the best gloss black or smoked hood deflector that blends in and is not an eye sore. Or should I get the hood partialy or compleatly wrapped . The wrapped hood would have as good a shine as the rest of the truck.

All opinions welcome.
