Ordered a custom shift knob from Derrick 7 months ago for $100+. Said it'd be 3 months, 4 tops. Been emailing him ever since 3 months, about 1x/month checking in. Always excuses, always working on it, wants it to be perfect, blah, blah, blah.
After 7 months with no end in sight, I tell him to forget it since he clearly can't do it - and he refunds me $27.50.
Avoid him like the plague.
