Seems when I have a manual I always want an auto and when I have an auto I want a manual. As I have gotten older my manual days are over. Sucks in traffic. Cruise control, remote start and my wife cant help me drive on long trips rule out that “memory maker”

Easy solution. Keep both in your stable.

Having choices is great but yes I'm a little sad manuals are dying but they have been dying for 25+ years.

But like in my situation, I have a manual and when I had worked hours that coincided with traffic here in Houston I was regretting it. Now that I don't have to do that I like my manual again.

I'm pretty sure the first ever transmission was automatic, so technically the automatic is "old school"!
