I can't speak to the exact date Ford will deliver the first units or how many they will produce per week, but I think you are off on your place in line. So, I think I figured a rough time frame when my Bronco will be built. I’m just posting this so that if anyone else is comfortable with assumptions and wants a ballpark date for when they’ll get their Bronco, they can do the math themselves.
Someone on this forum created a sequential list of the Bronco reservations list (last updated Sept 8th when there were 150,000 reservations’). If I were on that list of 3973 reservations, I’d be 454. That would place me 11.42% from the top of the list. If we assume that the list of 3973 reservations are representative of all 150,000 reservations that there were at the time, that means I was the 17,130th person to make a reservation.
Next, the Wayne, MI plant where the Bronco is going to be made alongside Rangers can make 5300 units per week (per Wikipedia). It made 90,000 Rangers in 2019 (1730/wk). If we assume that they will build the same number of Rangers in 2021 that they built in 2019, then they will have capacity to make 3570 Broncos a week (assuming they run at full capacity). So, 17,130/3570=4.8. My Bronco will be made late in the 4th week of production.
It’s been leaked that production will start in “March”. No specific day. I’m assuming March 14th. I’m assuming it’ll be a slow ramp up for the first two weeks and for all intents and purposes the production run starts in earnest April 1st.
So if the assumptions that I made here hold true (and there are admittedly a lot of assumptions) and Ford builds the Broncos in the order they received the reservations, that would mean my Bronco will be built late in the first week of May, delivery likely the second week in May.
I hear they're making broncos for current bmw owners last. So, I think I figured a rough time frame when my Bronco will be built. I’m just posting this so that if anyone else is comfortable with assumptions and wants a ballpark date for when they’ll get their Bronco, they can do the math themselves.
