How did you cut the rails? Removed and then cut? What did you cut with?
Yes, I removed them. It was only 6 bolts per side on my 2-door. I removed the cover (1 bolt and 1 plastic plug). I used masking tape from the open edge to maintain the same angles as stock in order to put the plastic cover back in. I had a fresh DeWalt blade in my sawzall to do the cutting.

Got them in. Going to get the jks high clearance kit. I took off the rock sliders till I can trim them.
BEAST MODE!

I wonder if your tires are bigger than most 37" tires. I'm still trying to decide on tires and I like the Recon Grapplers, but wondering if they are worth the trouble if they are XL.

I have the same stock sliders, I don't mind cutting them, and might even ditch them and buy a different with steps.

The sliders are really easy to take off/trim did it in about an hour. Used a cutoff wheel and took off an 1 1/2" hit it with some matt black and popped the cap back in. Can't even tell they were modified.
Had a shop do the jks kit, didn't feel like doing the frame cutting. They did it in under 2 hours labor.

Also just got the dv8 tube flares. They angle up so it gives a lot more clearance. Also did the rough country bushings and the icon tierods to reinforce the steering a bit. Those 37s ended up costing a lot of money lol.

Worth it, but makes me want to spend more...thinking about Spicer cv axles and king coilovers to complete my build.

Have a 3" zone lift. 1.5 borne wheel spacers.
37 12.5 r17 nitto recon Grapplers
Ditch that 1.5 spacer and you will be good. I’m running 37x12.5 ridge grappler on stock suspension and stock wheels…. No issues
