285/70/17's on Wildtrack ?

Has anyone tried this, just curious if there is a big speedometer difference ? Just looking for a quieter tire.. Have the Goodyear territory's and they are getting loud ! and i rotate .. Just doing a lot of highway for the summer..not many highway tire on the 315/70/17's that I can find, a lot more on the smaller size.

285 will be a full 2" smaller diameter. Your speedo will read faster and the odometer is going register more miles. Youll definitely need calibration. Have you looked at the BFG Ko2? Been running them for a couple years and theyre great. They also come stock on F150 Raptors in 315/70.

Just get a better tire in the same size. I've never had a set of Goodyears that the tread didn't turn out and get loud by 50%. The Continentals Terrain Contacts would be pretty quiet in that size. I really like my KO2's and I've also heard good things about the Nitto Recon Grapplers.

I just installed the Nitto Ridge Grapplers and they're much quieter than the stock GY SAS tires.
No low speed rumble and high speed you can't even hear the tires over the wind noise.
Really impressed with these tires so far.

P.S. Don't downsize. If you get a MT tire in the size you're looking at, it won't be any quieter. It's not the size that is causing the noise.

Gearing-wise it'll be fine and you'll like the extra pep, but you'll want to correct the speedo for sure. They might look a tad small, but remember the standard Badlands on 33s has only 1/2" less lift than Sasquatch. I'd put them on aftermarket wheels in the +20 to 0 range or they'll sit deep in the flare and look goofy.

Duratracs in particular are horrendous as they age IMO. I have a set I pulled off my F250 that have 50% left on some lugs and 20% on others, they wore in the most bizarre staggered patterns.
