Got it... I swapped out 35" Ridge Grapplers for 37" Wildpeaks and 4" Zone lift and the ride is a million times better!they slot in the middle of those two
Yeah - totally agree, they ride nice! I almost went nitto but they don’t have the snow rating and with our winter weather, wildpeaks we’re the better choice for me.Got it... I swapped out 35" Ridge Grapplers for 37" Wildpeaks and 4" Zone lift and the ride is a million times better!
OP. How do you like the roof light bar? I'm eyeing the same one up, but have concerns about the wind noise. Has it been tolerable for you? I have a soft top, so I know it will be slightly different.Hey - just some updated pics after I picked up my 2022 Wildtrak aka Stormtrooper 2.0
2022 4dr Wildtrak Sas, 2.7, MIC, tow, HOSS 2.0, Lux, PPF
Add ons -
Fog lights: F150leds Bronco LED CREE Spartan series
Light bar: F150leds Bronco roof mounted Paladin 210w curved CREE LED bar
Side step/rock sliders: Go Rhino Xtreme D6 (they say can be used as steps and sliders but doubt they will function that way.
All self-installed by me (someone who has never worked on cars previously). Lights were super easy to install. Side steps were not terrible but had their pain points for sure.
First two pics are day I picked up and rest are since the additions
Loving the finished product so far!

It was awful at first but that was just me getting used to the noise in general coming from an Audi, which is quiet. I don't really notice it anymore unless I'm 75mph+ on the highway.OP. Yes it is. It is the gatekeeper to the trail. Our club goes there and maintains trail cameras. Is the pic in your avatar OFR?
so I would say that gatekeeper is not easy for any vehicle. many jeeps, broncos, toyotas, etc have had to winch up that obstacle. some of those same jeeps, broncos, and toyotas have made it up without winching. the approach is pretty dug out these days, so rocks have to be piled in order to have any chance at all at making it - and a few were on 35s and even 33s. picking the right line is more critical than height in these rock gardens but the height and travel help. crawling out west is much more fun in my opinion (was in sand hollow back in April on milt's mile and double sammy). I am on 37s with king shocks and the carli torsion bar. I am on 0 offset methods as well. no perch collar here. I don't have the max tire kit either, although I did cut the crash bar mounts behind the front tires. other than that, no cuttingHow does it do up there and how does it do on the 37's? I took my essentially stock wildtrak to Rausch this weekend and the stock "35's" are not nearly tall enough, it desperately needs an antirock front sway, and maybe 37's. I was going down the 37" worm hole and it looks like I'll need the JKS max tire kit, wheels with a 0 or negative offset and stronger springs/perch collars for a little lift. Granted lift doesn't mean shit if you are using your full travel of the tire but still, I would assume I would slam around just a little less. Trying to get advice from east coast wheelers who have to deal with these types of jagged rock gardens. The fox shocks are absolutely awesome for going fast but their height is still pretty low. But I really don't want to do a full suspension upgrade either since this truck is supposed to be the family cruiser while my tacoma stays the toy.
Definitely understand the width. I actually dented my fender in Mahwah because I got us lost on a quad trail and didn't pay attention for a split second. Threading needles is fun a couple times but when it's a full day of it it gets exhausting. That's where the Tacoma shines, nice and thin.yeah - still the stock fender liners. bronco handles OFR really well but understand why you wouldn't given your 'yota is the fun car. I have plenty of clearance on most stuff. just the width on some of these tight NE trails is the low point. there are some obstacles on class VI roads in NH I can't run due to width.
