So I took the roof rack off my truck and leaned it against my work bench because I wanted to take the top off and when I turned my back the rack had fallen. When it hit the ground it snapped the two front plastic attachment points off.
So I ordered two new ones. When they showed up they were the wrong part, they actually ordered the covers to go over these parts. I find out when they returned them is that they don't sell them separate, you have to buy both roof rack rails that go the full length. It was literally two screws to take them off. So $1300 dollars which I didn't do.
Cementing them together wont work because that will affect the integrity of the roof rack.
I'm going to try and contact Ford Corporate and see if I can somehow buy just the two attachments. My other scenario is junkyard.
Is anyone parting out a 2dr, but I don't see logically anyone just selling the attachments hence my predicament.
Anybody else have any ideas. Pictures are connection point and broken attachment
