2.7 constraint???

Just spoke to a dealer who said the order bank won't allow them to input anything with a 2.7 auto. I just tried to order a non-reservation Base with the 2.7 and the dealer said they can't do it. Anyone else heard this???

There has been mention on here several times in the past week or so that they were not currently allowing orders of 2.7's. If it is true, it would seem as if they are trying to catch up and not dig the hole any deeper. Cannot confirm or deny obviously.

I hope this is not related to any 2.7 liter engine troubles we been hearing about my 2.7 black diamond is on a train as we speak

No Angelo, this was just in reference to OP's ask about placing new orders now and that some are being told that Ford is not allowing new 2.7 orders currently. Again, don't know if there has been anything official announced. Just have your rig checked thoroughly before you leave the dealer. Congrats by the way.

Thank you yeah I emailed the salesman today to remind them no front license plate bracket put on and no dealer emblems I also asked them when they do pdi to check all the Cooke t hoses and to zip tie the one away from the pulley but I’ll still check myself it prob went in one ear and out the other

I can confirm the same experience for myself.

Just tried to order a 2.7, 4 door badlands sasquatch.

My dealer, Matt Bowers Ford, said the same thing. They could not proceed with any order that included a 2.7.

They did not have any timeline for when orders would resume.
