I am in Texas, so my soft top advice really isn't great because climate plays a definite factor. However....I love it, no complaints. I hand wash with a power washer and TRY to get water to go through the seams and it never does.
My only real concern on a daily basis is theft or cutting, so I...
5k + lbs vehicle vs maaaybe a 3k lbs vehicle. And vehicles are meant to crumple to absorb impacts. BMWs consistently have 5 star crash test ratings, the 3 series is no exception there.
100%. We all are super salty and this is just grinding it in. But if we've learned anything, this is an extremely strategic timed release to boost market value now that all the chip shortages are shutting down production. Same with all of our reservations - we've learned it was just a market...
Thanks for the full context on their report - that does make me feel like there was some actual analysis behind this - but where is this located? I already have a magazine subscription. Does CR expect you to pay even more for this full write up? I'd wager the vast majority of people read the...
I just got this issue as well and read the Bronco article (was gifted the subscription) - I stopped caring at the end when they call out that the window and door locks on the center console are "awkward" while NOT noting that this is a deliberate design feature. Negating that to me is willfully...
I just had to dump $3k into my 12 year old Hyundai this summer and I have my fingers crossed that it won't cost me any more until Bronco. I had to do the math to make it make sense.
Since you and your wife share the vehicle, do the calculation on cost of the replacement minus value of the...
Even though I like this a lot and the hidden placement, I probably won't do it. I am too paranoid that with the soft top, the key pad would imply that the fob is in the car, making it an even juicier soft target. If I had a hard top, then probably would do this.
Well. I am in Austin too, and there are two female 4Runner owners on my cul-de-sac alone, as opposed to about ten total broncos in all of north Austin. So maybe we don't have the metrics here to support some sort of gender argument :p
Oh and yeah, my wife just said if she wanted an SUV it...
Ok. I got it now - you wanted to hang it upside down but don't have the space. So it's hung incorrectly on purpose. It's in your house and I respect that. I know you are on here to escape politics and I don't delve into that online either. You have family that served. You imply you have their...
Totally will happen. The FE is not better or more capable or even exclusive in the way it looks (besides some graphics application). Most of the FE order holders I know got an FE because they thought they'd GET IT FIRST. First editions or MYs of Jeeps are probably a good comparison.
$25k!? YES. I'd take that money - that is a ridiculous amount. I've driven a FE at OffRoadeo Texas. It's no different than a Badlands sasquatch with lux package.
It's hard for me to see any modern cars as collector cars. I just don't think they are built the same way as in the 50's/60's/70's...
Did you use the bags? I am going to make sure I have the bags on before I take them off, even if it ultimately doesn't help much. Also - ceramic coating.
This isn't a lie. The AMB Broncos at Off-Roadeo completely faked me out for the first day and a half where I thought they were SB.
That said - I really liked it in person. Especially the metallic.
