Based on the 33" BB thread, I had the stock wheels replaced with 285/70R17s and wider Black Rhino wheels within a week of taking delivery. No fitment drama, and got the look I wanted.
Level kit is in the "maybe" column for now. To me it sits fine as is.
On 17x8.5 +25 with 285/70, the only poke is the sidewall. The treads are just inside non-sas flares. If only +35 wasn't that rare, but everyone wants super aggressive fitments for some reason.
Black Rhino AWOL 18x8.5 +25 with 285/70R17 Yokohama G015s. Non-Sas BB, no lift, crash bars still in, and clears with room to spare.
Between wanting bronze wheels (and finding ones that looked more gold, or were too low offset for non-sas flares), and a design I liked, these fit the bill...
I picked it up Monday, decided to get used to driving it today after installing a cargo cover. Coming from a GTI, it's a bit of a learning curve to get the spacing right.
Wheel and tire setup is later this week.

Base is back as expected, but Big Bend no longer having rear locker as a standalone is a big price change due to BD. You're also roped into getting the BD package to get Sas. Just working out a substantially similar build on my June 2024...
True you aren't wrong, and I worked for the brand on the service and parts side for a decade. I can expect a little better quality for VINs starting with "J", but I'm not enthused about the allocation games while I walked into Ford and ordered how I wanted. Some of the dealers in my area play...
When I first saw the 4Runner, I called up an old dealer contact to get in line as a fallback if I found Land Cruiser prices too high (they were). Now that the pricing is out and using every Toyota as a sample size, they refuse to drop their rates below 7%. I locked in at 0.99%, and could have...
https://www.4runner6g.com/forum/threads/canadian-pricing-released-for-2025-4runner.1956/
Well, we got Canadian pricing and it isn't as out to lunch as I'd expected. However, the TRD Off-Road only being available as a Premium (and therefore with a sunroof that I trust less than the Bronco's...
Directly converting to CAD puts the SR5 at 60k, and the Off-Road Premium at 77k with the hybrid pushing it to 81k.
My 24BB with options topped out at 60k and now I’m even happier that I YOLOed when I did.
Seeing this info makes me think I was even luckier when I pulled the trigger in June. Between getting slotted in for the last production weeks, and the trim changes. I got what I wanted without paying stupid amounts for it.
I decided not to chance it and changed my Wildpeak AT4 order for G015. I was going P rated anyways and they are significantly lighter and I already know they can perform in snow and when there’s ice after a thaw.
Seeing this has me reconsidering my order on the AT4s. I want to run a single set of 3PMS tires year round in a wet region like BC. However, 285/70/17 only comes in LR E. I know that the ride quality on E-rated is a common debate here, but if I run lower than door sticker pressure (ie. 34-36...
In Canada, Ford Credit was doing 0.99%/60 months in June (I locked that in), but now it's currently 0%. Unless they extend the 0% offer into December (my Bronco is set to be built 11/25), I'll probably miss the 0%, but it's better than nothing. Employee Pricing was also on deck last month, and...
I’m glad I decided to pull the trigger on a 24BB. Rear locker being walled off by a package with stuff I didn’t really want would have bothered me if I waited. Don’t really need the cluster or vents, to be honest.
That's an oops on my part. Half the headlines I've seen do not mention that it's for the Sport. It's a bit silly to bury the lede like that. I wonder if they discovered something else. Again.
I wonder if the hold on the big Bronco has to do with the recently released UCA nut recall. If the process failure was on the line, they might have to check each one that may have had the issue.
Seems I misread.
First Ford after owning 3 VWs, 6 Toyotas and a Mazda.
Went in knowing it's not going to be a 4runner, but could not commit to the games that post pandemic Toyota are playing to get one.
