Bronco goes in for this issue and a number of other issues. Ive tested the battery. Its good. Charging shows 15.6v sometimes. Even after a 4hr highway cruise. Dash and hvac lights dim occasionally. Yay. Ill update.
Ive got the full on ford max level warranty plus the 12mo. 12k mi thing still...
Pro cal is itself a factory sanctioned modification. Id look at the fine print to see if theres any use at your own risk clause. Thats all above my pay grade. I haven't turned a wrench professionally in so long I could not speak with any authority. Id ask a consumer rights attorney like Steve...
It should be noted much of the tuning range will come from feedback in the knock sensor. It will steadily increase performance until it brings to see knock indications then back down by a preset percentage.
So if you rarely use that extra power and occasionally jump into it its possible to...
It will relearn slowly if you dont. The ecu is adaptive so it will optimize from static parameters as the average performance is recorded. Reflashing starts from static with no historical values. Meaning it will begin taking up that performance optimization in a more rapid manner.
Ive seen...
I run 93. Every pony is mine. I dont run regular in turbo motors. To be fair I fill up every 2 weeks. So the cost isnt an issue. But yeah if you are spending 800$ for the tune you should be running premium.
I imagine that the performance gain is reductive as you run lower octane. So 25hp on...
Please dont draft us. A safe following distance isnt going to help you and closing that gap really puts you in a bad spot. Especially if im loaded full. I beg. And dont do it with your high beams. X.x
Yeah thought so. Its not exclusive to the bronco its just worse dye to design. My semi has the same issue. Ill just design a defrosted. They make 12 DC heating wires. Similar to heat tape for water pipes.
Ill check digi-key this week and see what I can come up with.
I should note this is a problem on my Volvo semi as well. It wont melt ice. The slope prevents buildup when driving most of the time but it doesnt prevent it completely. A DC heating wire adhered to the back of the housing will work. But its not exclusively a Bronco issue. We just like jeep have...
I get the same message. But, I have a possible clue.
Went to coffee with a friend. Parked and went inside. It was day time. I was facing my Bronco. After about 15 minutes the headlights turned on by themselves. I figured it was a BCM issue so I turned off the auto headlight setting. Every time...
LED headlights are great. But the really dont heat up the headlights housing like halogen beams do. The result is snow/slush/ice buildup.
Ive considered adding a heater of some design to the back of the housing. It wouldn't be difficult. Have a thermostat set to cut it off around 60 degrees or...
The tune is set up for 93/94 octane. Its only a minor bump. You should do intake, intercooler and catbacks then re-tune it. Otherwise, sell it off and recoup some cash i guess? Don't know if it gets hard locked to your bronco.
Is that a thing yet?
The idea of keeping it nice and safe in a garage and driving a beater to save wear and tare.
I was watching some classic car show vids and every fiber of my being was screaming "why aren't you driving that!"
Nothing against your post. Im getting ready for the road so not much planning going...
I loath garage queens. Id not do it unless it was notable for its kind. Even then... id daily a 59 Caddy. I was going off what the dealership said and trying to dig deeper. :) Research. Its that thing that makes search results less exciting. :)
Ive seen people fight to pay 3k for a yugo. Im certain they had to reconsider thier life after they did but none the less. A buddy picked a rust free Yugo up for 100$ 20 or so years ago. Theres nothing about it that convinced me anyone could go for a test drive and say "yes this is going to be a...
I think this veered a bit from my initial curiosity.:)
I bought this Bronco to work as a daily, an off roader and a storm chaser vehicle. Its going to get few miles so its destined to be low miles when its older. I really cant drive it much because of work.
Before it gets beat to death by a...
Id jump on a panther chassis with console shift :) though id prefer it in a Town Car rather than a Marquis. ^^
Nothing rides like a proper spec Panther chassis. Re: 86-89 Signature Series with optional posi, no air ride. It used diffrent spec springs and more sound dampening
Not certain what id want updates for. And to think there would be a reliance on legacy support far into the future is a little short of sight. There is certainly going to be an enthusiast community that exists maybe not specifically for the bronco but for modding old control modules.
Of all...
EDIT: Can we use that AI created pic for a T-shirt?
Even better, have it customized for each of our builds!
Seconded!!!! Thats an awesome pic. I approve entirely! Ill take one in Medium on a black shirt.
T shirt and a hoodie. ^^
