U have read there is no plug and play for the BO systems but has any one tried using this with just pulling a signal of the 6” speakers in the kick panels? Really want to amp the dash speakers and put some 6.5 pods in the rear. Looking for options that won’t break the bank.
I have mine going to the battery as well. And then grounded with a self tapping screw behind the back seat, but it doesn’t seem to be getting any power. The blue led isn’t coming on. If it was getting a correct signal would this cause it not to power on?
@Ford Motor Company should be ashamed of themselves for letting this go on. 6 months is a ridiculous amount of time to wait for a vehicle. Especially for it to be sitting in a parking lot.
That’s ridiculous. It’s like @Ford Motor Company just wrote you guys off. No one’s vehicle should sit in. A parking lot for 6 months waiting on a module.
I noticed after I ran the remote wire there is a DC/12v switch if you leave it on DC it will turn on using signal from the speaker splices and if you switch to 12v it will use the remote wire. I can confirm it works both ways.
I’m sorry if this has been asked and explained already, but are base blockers built into the ford factory speakers? Or is it blocked from the head unit?
