Could someone measure the 3-4 throw me? Either -Same spot on the knob to same spot OR max up/down.

Has anyone tried installing this without the ball extension? It looks like this just shortens the shift (it’s adds about 20% more distance between the pivot and the shift cable). Seems like you can get a good shifter without the short shift (which is universally awful in everything).
