Thanks Jared - solid idea. For now, I noticed that at the top of the skid plate (4 large bolts) the center 2 bolts are almost the width of license plate mounting holes. So I drilled two new 3/8" holes in the plate at the proper spacing and mounted it there. Simple and clean :)
