Everyone has their own criteria in selecting such an impactful and emotional purchase. This thread caused me to go back to a spreadsheet we made to help select my wifeās new car recently. It rated six models based on price, MPG, fuel requirements, ground clearance, cargo volume, IIHS&NHTSA...
Yep - sounds like an issue requiring some investigation. I know wind noise, running both a Wrangler soft top as well as a WT 2D soft top in the summer. The fall switchover to the MIC top brings unbelievable P&Q comparatively. Even at 60+ mph. Good luck and keep us posted.
Youāre not alone in your frustration. Perhaps your best course of action is not to try and finesse these cheapo plugs and instead be resolved to the fact that some may have to pry out and be affordably replaced. Iāve had to do that elsewhere on my Bronco. This thread may help. Make sure to read...
OK. Minor nuisance here that I donāt believe anyone else has mentioned, but I am used to having the automatic transmission selector illuminated. Having to look at the dash is admittedly easy, but itās not my normal inclination, and if I rely on feel alone, then Iām always finding myself...
I just installed this top recently. Itās worth it, but be prepared for the following:
1) Some of the M8 bolts are too short. A run to the hardware store will be in order. I found the 6 (3 on each side) front bracket bolts all needed a couple more millimeters to fasten properly
2) The printed...
I installed this top recently. Had some similar screws with a much lower-profile head laying around, so I just substituted them on the rear speaker pod. They still mildly poke the rear window and cause a shallow āheadlightsā effect (if you catch my drift), but certainly not enough tension or...
I think this type of forum is predisposed to more passion⦠positive and negative. Why? Because the Bronco is near the top of examples where the vehicle is intimately connected to lifestyle. There are tons of forums out there for vehicles that get you āfrom A to Bā and those people just want to...
I wish people would just spread vehicular good will by following right-of-way, not tailgating, and obeying traffic control devices like red lights and yield signs.
I invite those interested to take a step back and consider the root of this issue.
Obviously Webasto has manufacturing and quality control problems.
Production quality problems are probabilistic, hence the quest of good manufacturers to achieve increasingly high sigma rates (less quality...
How many of us remember Fordās commercial slogan from the 80s and 90s: āQuality is Job 1ā? Yes, we still remember it, although we never fully believed it, did we?
Totally agree that it looks like a million bucks. But I have to cross my fingers for those new Stroppe owners. My dealer needed to blow through three tops before I could drive my 2 door (WT) off the lot without cracks or leaks. Imagine how frustrating this may become with this limited-production...
