It very well could have been amber. I wiped some off with my finger and took a quick glance at it. I guess in my mind i was expecting it to be red. it was mixed with road grease and it had some color to it so maybe I just assumed it was red. It was coming from the back side of the transmission...

Yes the clutch releases properly. This is a known design issue with the manual transmission and there’s even a technical service bulletin about it

I’ve been driving manuals for 20 years and have owned 6 manual transmission cars. I’ve never had this issue before so it’s quite the stretch to imply it’s bad shifting

My manual transmission is taking a shit again at 52K miles. This will be the 3rd time i need it repaired in 8 months. Seriously fed up with ford’s crap build quality
