  1. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

When I purchased my 2023 Wildtrak I was originally looking at a 2024 Carbonized Grey Outer Banks. I saw the 23' Wildtrak sitting at another nearby dealership. I was able to get it for a really good price since it had been sitting on the lot for so long. The only issues I have had are that the...
  2. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

As explained above, the state/province I live in has mudflap regulations. Each tire is required to have mudflaps, so dealers are required to install mudflaps before they sell the vehicle to you. The regulations require the mudflaps to be a specific size as well. I suspect it is because the...
  3. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

Solved! For anyone in the future perusing this here is what I've discovered. This is not an issue as to how the mudflaps were installed, which I originally suspected. Instead, it seems that the OEM Mudflaps do not work with the Step Bars - Tube Steps. Step Bars - Tube Steps...
  4. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

Yikes dude - I posted the pictures of the mudflap wrapped up around the tire. I also pointed out that I meant damaged by the word wrecked. I am not sure what else needs to be said here but I hope you have a more positive day going forward. Non-used. It was on the lot when I bought it. As I...

This is also good to know - thanks dude for all the information.
  6. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

As someone pointed out above - the Ford website actually says that these mudflaps will not work with the specific steps I have. I am sure it was just a communication error or something unknown at the time. I will talk to them about it with all of the information I have received here.

I will privately message you as to not dox myself
  8. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

  9. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

Just wanted to repeat what I said above - we are required by law in my state/province to have a mudflap on each separate tire of the vehicle. I am not from the USA.
  10. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

I am not from the USA - where I am from, specifically the state/province we are required by law to have mudflaps on each tire of the vehicle. A dealership was actually held responsible when they sold vehicles without mudflaps on each tire a number of years ago by our government insurance.
  11. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

I work closely with the insurance company - luckily with my position asking these questions to them is a simple call/message for me to get an opinion.
  12. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

Easy there - I was using the word wrecked in regards to being damaged. I am not looking to write off the vehicle. The vehicle is easily driveable as this is cosmetic damage except for bolts being ripped off inside the wheel well which will need to be fixed. Yes - I have been receiving help from...
  13. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

"It was a hard 15*C outside. The sun was so blue I had to wear sunglasses. As I turned the mighty beast into the church parking lot I knew I had over committed"
  14. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

This is great information - thanks for all the information. I have been doing a deep dive on OEM mudflaps since your first message and have found many examples of them not working.
  15. What mudguards are these??

Did you ever find a solution for this? I am having a similar issue right now with the step not fitting the mud flaps.
  16. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

I was actually wondering this - because it looks like it would rub no matter how they install them. Are there specific mudflaps that would work or would I need to change the step itself to get flaps? They are required in my state/province.
  17. (Solved!) Dealership Installed Mudflaps Damaged Bronco

On Sunday I was turning right into a church parking lot at a slow speed - I'd guess about 15km/h - and heard a crunch start coming from the passenger front tire. The tire caught the mudflap and it nearly ripped the mud flap off while scratching both the rim and the wheel fender as well. This was...
