I looked at going that route but didn't want to complicate changing a flat tire. The wife uses this as her daily driver. If it was me...I wouldn't care to have to move the lights to get to the spare.
Texas doesn't have a rear ID requirement...even for a commercial vehicle 80" or wider. Transportation code here says they "may be equipped" but doesn't say they are required.
Okay this is going to be lengthy so brace yourself....this is for those of you who are not sure your tune took when you tried to flash your PCM. This is my personal experience and nothing below is Ford Performance backed information.
I had my suspicions my tune did not upload correctly when I...

I know it needs to be connected to the Raptor, original tune stored, plugged back in to the computer to backup factory tune...download performance tune to procal then back to the Raptor....
How long does that final step take? Just want to have a...
Just looked in to this for Texas.
".....The Center High Mounted Stop Lamp must not be mounted less than 15 inches, nor more than 72 inches."
I bet our hitch is higher than 15"!!!
You disconnect the back of the 7 pin and the light has a male and female 7 pin to wire in line.
The "female" receptacle, already on the truck, actually has a male 7 pin plugged in to the back of it. You unbolt the bracket and you can disconnect that male plug from the back of the receptacle...
